Our mission is to reach the homeless population in local cities and counties with first a message of hope from the Bible, offer a nutritious meal, and prayer for their needs. The team meets once a month and partner's with another facility off campus to reach the homeless of our community.
This ministry has two objectives 1) to create and bless with knitted and crocheted prayer shawls in adult and children sizes, giving them away to those in need, whether they are home, in nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, or hospitals, and 2) to spread the love of the Lord and His saving grace to those that receive a shawl. The shawls are then available to present to those in need as a reminder that someone is praying for them and as a symbol of God's love.
As these men and women knit and crochet these beautiful prayer shawls, they simultaneously prayer over the future recipient. Each prayer shawl is covered in prayers by its' creator and by the church body. A few times a year, the Prayer Shawl ministry brings the finished prayer shawls to services and the congregation lays their hands on them and prays over the future recipient. If you or someone you know would like to receive a prayer shawl, please contact our church office.
Living Waters loves to reach outside our walls into our community, our state, our nation and our world. Our main mission focus in to the ministry center located in Quito, Ecuador "Aqua Viva" led by Pastor Bobby and Tamitha Lynch who previously served on staff at Living Waters. The goal of the ministry center is to minister and serve the at-risk children and families in the surrounding community, and to serve as a retreat center for at-risk children from other organizations throughout Quito. You can give to the ministry center through the GIVE tab or visit http://http//projectm25.org/
